Look, I read the board incessantly. I often see threads at the beginning. I often post if I think I can be helpful.
I don’t often post in P&E or FQ.
The other threads I give my opinion, an anecdote or I look it up for someone that may be away from home and cannot look it up. I rarely believe AI, I read further.
This is where I’m social. I’m not conversational or in a RL society. My family is my only outlet.
Why can’t I have this? I get goofy and foggy sometimes. I try not to post at those times. Sometimes I do, I apologize if it bothers the 5-H so much.

Most people are asking you not to drop ignorance bombs and cutesy no content posts outside of MPSIMS. Be super social in MPSIMS, that is built for it.

There are some posts of Beck’s I like and some like her bad bad bad threads that are not my cup of tea. Sorry Beck, but you ain’t no Garrison Keillor. And there are a few threads that she really got my blood angry about. But looking at this board as a whole, I don’t think she would be in my Top-10 of annoying aholes here. I also think she suffers from not being one of the cool kids here so we sit together at lunch and hope "The Cool Kids"™ don’t give us online wedgies.
I would agree with this, there are far more irritating people who speak outside their expertise. There’s another poster I could mention who is far worse about this, but I don’t want to summon him by speaking his name.
I see this as a read and move on, live-and-let-live kind of situation. As the board’s population ages, people are going to depend on it more and more for general socializing, and the culture is going to change. We can afford to tolerate a few colorful characters who are maybe annoying now and then, but aren’t hurting anyone.
