Peanuts were made to merged with either chocolate or grape jelly so I’ll go for the Mr. Goodbar.
Krackel, then Herschy Bar.
Special Dark isn’t.
If I eat anything Hersheys it’s Krackel.
For a single mini, this sequence gets my vote, but I can’t handle milk chocolate in any large amounts so for the long haul, had to vote for SD
Special Dark. I like Krackel OK (or I did), though it’s not as OK as the Nestlé version, and pure milk chocolate (or even the oily abortion that is Hershey’s milk chocolate) is better than anything with fucking nuts in it.
Special Dark is a sad, rancid reflection of good dark chocolate, but it’s better than all the others.
(What the hell is it with you people and the goddamn nuts? Most stores stock Almond Joy but not Mounds, they stock all varieties of Snickers but good luck finding a Milky Way Midnight, and there are THREE different flavors of Rocky Road, but they don’t even MAKE the Annabelle bar any more.)
I actually found Krakel bars for sale in my local Frye’s once in early 2008, and bought three which I threw in the fridge and gnawed on every now and then. That was the first time I’ve seen them for sale in real bars for years, and the last. Even now, when I wander into a store with a candy rack near the register, my eye searches passively over the selection hoping for a Krakel, but I’ve never had such luck again.
Then Special Dark, I guess. I usually don’t go for the other two.
Special Dark, hands down. I’ll also eat black jelly beans first.
Krackel - because my favorite chocolates are Nestle Crunch, and those are the closest equivalent.
Oh, how wrong you all are. It’s milk chocolate all the way.
I’m not really a chocolate snob but I prefer dark chocolate. I don’t care for Hershey’s at all and never have, but as a kid I’d always eat the Special Dark. It’s very sweet for dark chocolate and fairly waxy but still enjoyable.
Last weekend, I took my kids camping, and they were dying to have s’mores. So I bought a couple small packages of those Hershey miniatures. Then we got there, and (stupid me, I should have anticipated this) there was a burn-ban in effect because of the drought conditions in Texas. So no s’mores.
Now I’m back home, and I’ve got lots of Hershey miniatures, a bag of those big plump marshmallows, and a big box of graham squares.
Whatever shall I do with them?
