Have you tried Mini Metro yet?

Dear God, I can’t stop. Can’t stop.

Get it. Play it. Then come back here for hints. It’s cheap. It’s a bargain at ten times the price.

I have the iphone app version, along with some mini road game. It’s a fun waste of time. But I find it’s a typical game where one is just given more and more to do till it gets frantic enough that one can’t keep up.

The hints I have is that you need to connect (almost) every line to a square (they will be rare, at least in the iOS version), and eventually get that square in the middle of the run. Try on most lines to alternate circles and triangles as there is a lot of cross traffic between them. If needed you can pick up a train and move it to a overcrowded station for pickup, however if you need to do this you have already lost - so it may buy you time and useful if you are close to getting a new train/line/etc. to fix the problem. Loop tracks with 2 trains going in opposite directions works OK but not as well as I would expect - those are usually the ones to get overcrowded at the end as the trains will eventually have large gaps and you can only have 4 on a line, which is really 2 in a direction, instead of 4 which may be needed in that direction.

Also just an aside, I generally take circles to be homes, triangles to be commercial and squares to be some sort of industrial factory. Cross is hospital, the football is a stadium, the star is something people want to go to but IDK why.

Mini-motorways?

I found that to be more forgiving and more addictive. Same developer.

So not a driving simulator for a rather awful British car known as the Mini Metro then?
