Mexico is a dystopian place and a little googling or asking a Mexican friend will help you with this.
Some examples…

Oh please, the conservatives love it; they* hate* the American working class. All that ranting about the Evil Immigrants is just pandering to the racists and making themselves feel good about their abuse of such people.
And those racists and “the plutocratic class and their lolbertarian whores” are most of the conservatives. That doesn’t leave much besides the evangelicals, who have always generally hated the Mexicans because they are heavily Catholic. In fact it used to be one of the most heavily stressed “dangers” of Mexican immigration, before ranting about “Papists” in public fell out of style.
No, it’s been tried; Americans refuse to do it. Even prisoners. The crops just rot in the fields.
It’s true a good segment of the Right has no problem with mass importation of cheap foreign labour, but we are seeing the schism between them and the nativist factions in the GOP right now with the nomination of Trump who is running on an uncompromisingly anti-immigrant platform. It’s true the plutocratic class and their sycophants make up most of the Right’s intelligentsia and donor class but they don’t make up anything approaching the majority of their voters, which is why Trump won and seizing the party from within.
Also the evangelical position on illegal immigration is multifaceted. Some are quite sympathetic, while many are following the Donald’s line although it’s bizarre you anachronistically attribute this to 19th Century/early 20th Century anti-Catholicism considering 1) many Hispanic immigrants are evangelicals themselves (and disproportionately belonging to ultraconservative Pentecoastal sects) and 2) much of the nativist Right is Catholic (From Pat Buchanan and Tom Tancredo down to the at least culturally Catholic working-class of the Rust Belt).
Of course, all this leaves an opening for an unapologetically nationalist Left to denounce the forces of plutocratic cosmopolitanism as being behind the undercutting of American workers.
Early 20th century my ears, which have been subject to “they’re trying to invade us with their heathen Virgins and their Catholic ways!” in the late 20th and early 21st century.
Why someone would think that’s a thing one can say with no consequences in front of a bunch of Hispanics (Miami, 199x; yep, they were complaining about Hispanic immigrants in Miami) or groups of Italians and Spaniards (Trenton, 2003) is beyond me.
And those who hire people that are legal and then refuse to assist them in staying legal. Pretty please with sugar on top and a side of blackberries.
I work for an organization that helps people get off public aid and into jobs and in my two plus decades of experience, I have found one thing, illegals for the most part, do NOT take away jobs.
They take ILLEGAL jobs.
These are the jobs that employers use to go around regulations, that are far to dangerous and too many hours and so on.
You make an illegal immigrant legal and s/he will get a legal job, even if it pays less.
The slaughterhouses are no better example than this. Full of illegals that make a good wage in a job that is too dangerous and only exists because of desperate people and officials being paid to look the other way.
I can tell you the economy is getting much better, since the first of this year, I am seeing people refusing jobs, because they only pay minimum wage. I also am hearing from clubs, big box stores, hotels and factories (the usual companies I deal with) that they can’t fill jobs.
Of course it’s because they had nearly ten years of only paying minimum wage and now pendulum is swinging the other way and they don’t like it.
