Minister Says Hurricane Sandy was a Pro-Obama Message From God

It’s here.

Enjoy.

Well, that’s an interesting variant on the crazy, I’ll give it that.

All I can say is this just shows that all the god-botherers are crazy, not just the nazi ones.

It’s about time a Democratic preacher brought the crazy. Crazy is much more fun when it comes at you from all angles.

:smack: That’s like the people who try to tell you, “It’s God’s will” at a funeral. When my dad died unexpectedly in his early 50s and I heard that more than once at his funeral, I had to bite my tongue to keep from asking people if they were saying God put out a hit on my dad. I guess this nut thinks God likes to cause billions in destruction to sway votes…

Two things are universal - hydrogen, and stupidity. If only teh stoopid was limited.

God must be showing us that the OP sucks at starting Pit threads.

For future reference: I’m a liberal, and I think this is ridiculously silly.

Does Rev. Charles E. Williams II blow hot air when he says Hurricane Sandy was playing Hail to the Chief?

Minister Says Hurricane Sandy was a sign that God is friggen pissed at Obama

Hmm, two rival crazies making radically different interpretations of the same meteorological event. The only thing they agree on is that God is behind it. I guess this means, just to be safe, we all need to vote for Obama and then force him to support Israel.

Well, either that or we just stop listening to idiots who think God gives us storms to send us a message but refuses to say what that message is.

But it is good to know that Romney is secretly pro-gay.

You know God is really slipping here.

Why use storms that can just be hand-waved away? We need some good old fashioned shit, like rivers turning to blood or frogs falling from the skies.

Just in case you’re listening God, let’s not go too far. We don’t really need to get into the whole slaughtering of first born sons again, once was enough. Boils we could really do without too. Darkness would be good to do again, it gets the point across and no one has to get hurt. Just sayin’.

I subscribe to the less-is-more philosophy.

You know, a halo would do the job, God. No need to get biblical. Not saying that because it would make so many Republican heads explode that I’d enjoy the faint sound of poppin’ popcorn on this side of the Atlantic, just saying.

To be serious, this guy is nuts, his opinion is nuts and anyone who interprets meteorological phenomenons to reflect on political circumstances are also nuts.

Why doesn’t God just stuff the ballot box? Or change already cast votes to his preferred candidate like he changes liquids to his preferred drink?

Did you actually read the OP’s link? Has anybody commenting in the thread so far actually looked at it? If you did, it might occur to you that the minister in question just might be indulging in a little bit of irony at the expense of his crazy, far right colleagues.

I think it is quite clear that, although he does believe in God, he also thinks that interpreting weather events as messages from God is ludicrous.

I read it. I’m a liberal, and though I got some humor in the “jumping ahead” comment, I wouldn’t put money on the ludicrousness.

It’s possible, but the end makes it sound like he’s awful serious:

Exactly. What he’s saying, after ridiculing those who think that God would send a storm for political reasons, is that what is Godly is for people to care for each other in a time of crisis, and expressing gratitude to God if that happens.

Yes, please. At least, for just long enough to take the edge off global warming.

What makes you think He doesn’t?
