Miracle cat..

which survives despite being walled in under a bath for 7 weeks.

Story from Stadthagen ,Germany.

This is the third or fourth such story Iโ€™ve heard about cats surviving a long time without food and water. (I remember one was a cat who was inside a mattress that was moved cross-country.)

A person might be able to survive seven weeks with no food (depending on health and weight before the starvation,) but there is no way they go go that long without water. What makes a catโ€™s renal system so much better at conserving water than ours?

For some reason I was under the impression that a cat need to eat very often. More than something like 40 hrs without food and thier kidneys start shutting down.

No idea where I heard this - it may be bollucks.

Heh, Ms Tree was trapped in out closet for ten days while we were on vacation in 2002. She did not lose weight. She did not make a mess either. She managed to poop into a rolling laundry hamper. Probably peed there too. Hubby found the present when he did laundry later.
