Well for 10 years I sang “Boston, California grass.”
And while the meaning didn’t really change I was very surprised to realize one day it was “Bought some California grass.”

The Police, “Every Breath You Take”: I don’t care what anybody says, the second time around, Sting is singing “I’m a pool hall ace!”
I may have mentioned this before, but as a kid, I thought the first verse of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” ran “He has trampled through the village where the crates of rats are stored.” I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why anyone would store crates of rats, but the rest of the song doesn’t make sense either when you’re four years old, so what the hell.
Flodjunior heard “Walking in Memphis” on the radio one day and liked all the piano stuff. For a couple days afterward he was singing “Well, I was walkin’ in the fields…”

This isn’t a song, as such, but:
Anybody else remember the scene in Superman: The Movie (1978) where General Zod is on trial and is cursing Jor-El? It sounds like he’s saying:
“You will bow down before me, Jor-El! Both you, and then one day, your ass!”
