I didn’t follow all the threads referenced here. I saw the quote of what @Eonwe said regarding the movie. I didn’t, and still think the anger it engendered was unwarranted. Shitposting, afaict is calling people names and telling them they are stupid for their opinions/tastes, just to make fun of or belittle a particular thing just for shits and giggles. Maybe I need to rethink/look up the common understanding of it? Again, the way I understood all the hubbub was that she should see the movie before she decided that she didn’t want to see the movie.
I also had a rather pornographic notion when cuminsplaining came up. Heh.

It is very funny that the post that started this whole thing was made by a man, saying how a movie they didn’t see was misogynistic, even though several women who had seen it said they did not view it that way.

For disagreeing with you, it seems. I mean, like I said, I don’t agree with everything she’s saying, but AFAICT the degree of actual hostility in the conversation (both here and in the IMHO thread on OnlyFans teachers that you refer to) seems to be coming more from you than from her.
And I continue to be somewhat baffled why it’s apparently not okay for Beck to complain about “mansplaining” when a man is saying that a woman is wrong about something, but it’s okay to complain about Beck “gransplaining” when she as an older person is saying that younger people are wrong about something.
