Miss Pole Dance World 2009 - Felix Cane - WOW

There’s no nudity but I went ahead and made the link NSFW just in case. There’s a woman on a pole after all. This is quite simply the most amazing performance on a pole I’ve ever seen. This is art, really. Check it out for yourself.

She’s a native Aussie, but moved to Las Vegas to with Cirque du Soleil.

I’ll be in my bunk.

As you said, wow. She’s amazing.

That should be an Olympics event.

Twelve year old Chinese girls on poles would ruin the whole event for me.

I don’t have much else to say but that was really impressive.

In the immortal words of Neo: Whoa

(Tempered by the knowledge that with that physical condition, she could snap me in half for sure…)

Damn you, you made me contemplate the notion.

If it’s your time, that’s the way to go.

Beautiful! Astonishing mixture of grace and athleticism. She’s creating moves that I have never seen before, especially the bit at the two minute mark.

It blew my mind, too.

With her ankles? Holy hell.

Moving between two poles in one dance could make a man a mite jealous.

I’ll be in my room doing a little…er…fuck it…I’ll be in my room masterbating.

Holy cannoli.

That is some serious athleticism. Considering the grace and power required to do that, pole dancing should find a place as an Olympic sport.

But I doubt that it will. :stuck_out_tongue:

p.s. Mind you, I am not moved by the sexuality of it - just the athleticism of it.

Mmm hmmm… suuuuure…

In all fairness - sure, this is hot as hell. And, er, I’ll be in my bunk. But that’s truly secondary to the sheer skill on display here. It’s not just that this woman manages to hold herself in position on the pole in ways very, very few people would even be able to consider doing - it’s that she makes it look utterly effortless. There’s no sign of strain or exertion - it’s not until you think about what she’s actually doing that you realize that this really is a level of athleticism that wouldn’t be out of place in a gymnast or a ballerina.

Yeah I know, the first time I saw it I thought it was hot as hell, then when I saw her do that ankle thing at about two minutes in I really began to realize how amazing this really is. Also my eyes were bugging out of my head.

Very true. This is gymnastics, just using equipment not in the regular set. This is right up there with Olga Korbut’s 1972 uneven parallel bars routine in terms of redefining a skill.

Woah…
