One of the sometimes overlooked stories of the First Gulf War was the peace plan that Tariq Aziz-- Saddam’s right hand man who looks as though he’s wearing a set of Groucho Marx glasses-- presented to Gorbachev in hopes of preventing a war.
After hearing it, Gorbachev basically said, “Da! I think is good idea!”
Anyone know what the details of the Aziz peace plan were?
