I’ve been thinking for awhile I’ll be surprised if he runs again. The shoulder injury just might clinch the dealio. Kos had a nice recap of what he’s in for vis-à-vis his recovery, by someone who had gone through it himself.
Made me smile, it did.

OK, that broken-shoulder story is disappointing. I was hoping that he broke it from recoil, during a photo-op where he was showing off with a gun too powerful for him.
Made me smile, too – and I try to not take pleasure from other folk’s downturns – but I guess I make an exception for folks like Moscow Mitch (and Don the Con).
So let’s assume two things: McConnell retires (yay!), and the GOP holds the Senate (boo!). Who is considered to be a frontrunner for Majority Leader?
McConnell reaches a new low. What a truly evil piece of shit. Putting the name of your opponent on a tombstone right after a weekend of white nationalist terrorism.
I’m thinking he fell on his back. Was it the fall itself that broke his shoulder, or was it the flailing around on the floor trying to get up?
I know, me, either. But like you, I am compelled to make exceptions for these two foul, evil fuckers.
I hate to think of the GOP holding the Senate. If I had to guess, though, John Thune seems a likely possibility. Maybe Roy Blunt.
What I know for sure is he will be old, white, male and corrupt as hell.
He’s also #MassacreMitch now, since he’s holding up gun control legislation.
Me too.
According to Ballotpedia, Kentucky’s governor would fill a KY-Sen vacancy until the next election. Also according to Ballotpedia, “As of July 19, 2019, one outlet [Sabato] rated the race Lean Republican and two outlets rated the race Toss-up.” Andy Beshear (KY’s AG and son of former KY Gov Steve Beshear) is the Democrat running against incumbent Matt Bevin.
That election is this November, by the way. If Beshear ousts Bevin, it might induce Mitch to retire during Bevin’s lame duck period.
Definitely.
No other choices. :dubious:
I hope it hurts.
I hope, but certainly do not expect, that his hospital experience reminds him of how privileged he is to have insurance coverage for it.
I love you.
Lucky Moscow Massacre Mitch wears one of those emergency call thingies around his neck. When he fell, he was able to press a button and say “Help! I’ve fallen and I can’t obstruct!”
Fuck him. Moscow Mitch, Putin’s bitch, the rigor mortis tortoise. Fuck that money grubbing traitor rat bastard fuck.
As I understand it, Twitter has suspended McConnell’s campaign account. No link just yet.
ETA: Raw Story.
Maybe there IS a God…
The story is blowing up all over teh intarwebz.

Even Fox News has a story now.
I welcome correction, but AFAIK you can’t post threats of violence on Twitter, and Moscow Mitch’s campaign did just that.
If that’s how God works, I could start prayin.
Why just last weekend I was goofing around and I prayed that Moscow Mitch would injure his shoulder. I also was listening to the Ramones. (“I believe In Miracles”) It was kind of spooky.
Unless there’s something I’m not understanding, this suspension is kinda totally bogus. They were posting video of threats against Mitch, as news stories, not fercryinoutloud as threats.
If I post this article about a death threat made against Brianna Wu five years ago, would Twitter suspend me? Would I be banned from the board for posting death threats?
I don’t see any meaningful difference. Sure, the McConnell campaign posted raw video of the threats (I think), but it’s pretty freakin’ obvious that the McConnell campaign isn’t endorsing threats against McConnell. I know he’s unpopular, but c’mon.
