See, stuff like this is why I can’t get worked up about keeping guys like Barry Bonds or Roger Clemens out of the Hall of Fame. Yeah, Barry Bonds almost definitely used performance enhancing drugs. He also had an OBP of .444 and an slugging percentage of .607 and stole more than 500 bases. Taylor Teagarden also almost definitely used PEDs, and he hit 21 home runs in his entire 8-year career. Clearly there’s something much, much more significant than the drugs at work here.
Don’t forget, he has a .202 lifetime batting average.
