MLB Playoff Roster Injury Replacement?

What exactly, are the rules for replacing a player on a playoff roster during a season.

Example:

1 Game one occurs.
2. Player A is injured.
3. When does team get to activate another player to take that roster spot? During that series. Before a following series? What?

I haven’t been able to find it in the rulebook.

Teams have to set a 40 man roster by August 31st. The “September callups” can be used in games during this month to give teams a chance to take a look at them before the playoffs (usually they’re limited to the 25 man active roster). If they make the playoffs, they must set a 25 man active playoff roster. Between each round of the playoffs (after the division series and again after the LCS) a team can replace someone from the 25 man active roster with somebody from the pool of 40.

This article explains some of the roster strategy.

Well, that part I understand. I’m speaking abotu whether a player, already on the playoff roster, gets injured during a playoff series. Can that player be replaced on the roster immediately or is the team involved required to go forward with 24 active players until that playoff series is concluded.

They’re stuck with their 25 man roster until the series is ended.

That’s my instinct. Do you have a place in the rulebook for it?

No, none of us do, because the rules governing rosters aren’t available to the public. See here and here for some discussion (of the unpublished rules, not of the playoff roster issue). I know for a fact, however (from media discussion of postseason roster decisions) that you can change your roster between rounds, but never during a round.
