MLB: The Playoffs

The Rangers went 50-31 at home and 41-40 on the road during the regular season. Don’t use 16 games to reach such an overly broad conclusion - baseball is full of enough small sample size statistical anomalies as it is.

MOST teams play better at home over the course of a season. This year, Texas was 50-31 at home, and 40-41 on the road. Their road record in the postseason was, IMO, a huge anomaly.

The Houston-Texas playoff series this year was only the second time that a road team won each game. Which reenforces the fact that teams are generally better at home than on the road.

It’s just a fluke.
