A friend of mine (really) seems to have gotten interested into Second Life, after reading a bunch of various press articles over the past few months, and how people can make real-world cash in the game environment. So I told him I’d do some research on the various legal real money transfer (RMT) games out there.
I’m not a big fan of Second Life, but I’ve been trying to put together a list of MMORPG’s that allow RMT (i.e. not against the End User License Agreement you agree to when playing them).
I personally play Everquest 2 on their Exchange servers, and I also know of Second Life and Project Entropia, where RMT is legal and encouraged. I also know of the new service LiveGamer, but there are no actual announced games there yet (other than EQ2, which is being transferred over at the end of March).
Are there any others out there that you know of?
(edit) I guess you can technically count EvE Online as well, since I believe you can pay for your monthly subscription in game currency, but I believe that’s as far as you can go there.
