Yes, I’m sure it’s just a coincidence they all stopped posting after the one thread with the bad modding.
Not everyone announces that they are leaving. In fact most people don’t.
This is extraneous to the issue in this thread. Let’s drop this hijack now.

To repeat what I’m confident is now clear to all: we don’t mod posts based on inaccuracy, illogic, lack of (or inappropriate) cites, or other defect. We leave it to other posters to point out these shortcomings. (Mods are allowed to express their opinion of another’s post during a debate, but must make clear they’re speaking as a poster, not as a mod.)
To be blunt, it’s not against our rules to post dumb things unless we get the idea you’re doing this deliberately (and usually repeatedly) to mess with us or other posters - in other words, you’re trolling. In such cases we’ll tell you to knock it off, and mod you if you don’t.
The issue having been thoroughly aired, I’m closing this thread.
