Okay, in the interests of many, I’m quite sure, could you please list all of those who have graced our presences as moderators and/or admins?
I would have been around back in the AOL days but was in Germany and the Middle East and therefore was not able to grace you all with my illustrious charm and wit.
(laying it on a bit thick, eh?)
Musicat! Shh! You’re ruining my plans to take over the world!
Can I ask another quick question? Is there a minimum undertaking for moderators to patrol the boards? I mean, it would be unfair to the small but highly select band of current moderators for a new person to arrive, gain the near-infinite kudos of being an SDMB moderator, but only to check the boards for an hour a day (or something). So, what’s the minimum commitment?
So far as I know, the only moderators we’ve ever had are the current ones (visible on the main SDMB page), plus myself, JillGat, Nickrz (whom I’ve already mentioned), and Melin (about whom the less said, the better). There may have been others on the AOL board, but I wasn’t here, then.
As for time commitment, it does depend to a good degree on the circumstances. For instance, even with four mods in MPSIMS, they each probably have a larger modding load than Dex over in Comments on Staff Reports. Then again, Dex also has other duties (most notably, coordinating the Staff Reports in the first place). Noodles probably suffered from a similar ennui back when he was just Comments on Cecil’s Columns, so they also gave him a share of MPSIMS and administratorship.
Basically, the goal is to have everything in a forum checked once a day or so, and it’s presumed that the mods of a forum are sharing the work fairly.
Does the calendar have- er- pictures of Cecil?
You know… pictures.
Well, I was wearing Ed Zotti’s little red coat before Lynn and Euty were born.
But guess I wasn’t a moderator anyway, at the beginning.
