Modern Greek for kids?

My 9 year old daughter is most likely going to spend two weeks in Athens next summer with her aunt (married to a Greek and has an apartment building there).

We got the invite a couple days ago and Claire has pledged to forgo her allowance to defray the cost of the flight which would be my ex-wife’s and my only cost. I am matching her dollar for dollar and her mom is going to make up the difference which will be a couple hundred bucks.

Needless to say she is incredibly excited as am I. I am very happy that she will have this once in a lifetime opportunity. What I’m looking for are recommendations for teaching her the basics of Greek, I think this is a perfect chance to get her to learn another language…at least the rudiments.

Any suggestions? I looked on Amazon but didn’t see anything geared towards kids. Claire does read very well, so I’m not looking for picture books for toddlers.

I’m also looking for lessons but I’m already spending a ton on the matching grant
