It’s not a run on sentence, just a long one. It is not ungrammatical. All the clauses are joined by conjunctions.
I saw what you did, there.
I find it bit jarring that someone who posted a permitted insult in a thread in The Pit could be citable if that thread were moved later. That stinks a bit like ex post facto to me.
Threads are moved out of the Pit, today, and posts submitted before the move are not subject to post hoc Moderation. (We certainly see them get Reported, of course, but when we note the timestamps of the post and the subsequent move out of the Pit, we are pretty good about not stomping anyone with our jackboots.)
I’m not expressing an opinion on the OP, but that particular reservation is not a deal breaker.
Like the World Trade Center being hit by jets.
Did you not notice that this thread was moved in conjunction with the first reply?
Got it.
And I haven’t much in the way of gratuitous jackbooting here.
So, why should we believe that you are being honest in any post and why should we give your views any consideration?
As if you were inclined to do so in the first place.
Are you referring to the situation in this thread? Because in this thread, that cricetus started in The Pit, he was warned for something that he posted after it was moved to ATMB. This thread was moved to ATMB immediately (as the second post shows), cricetus was warned for something he posted on the second page.
See post #126.
cricetus, let’s run that again. You started a thread proposing a new forum (i.e. about running this board) in The Pit? Intentionally, because you knew you would be insulting someone at some point? What?
Threads about running the board belong in ATMB, and must remain polite, no insults.
If you wanted to start a thread complaining and bitching about how you feel, then starting it in the Pit makes sense. But this thread didn’t start that way, it started as a suggestion.
