Mods: still incredibly bad at spotting trolls

There is all manner of bad behavior which is not trolling, narrowly defined.

Expecting moderators to handle all of that bad behavior is not reasonable, not that anyone is arguing that extreme position. In other words, this is partly a matter of calibration.

It has been argued here (other threads, years ago) that the mods deal with trolls too slowly. That’s not what this OP is about.

And since I objected to your previous post, I think it is only fair to acknowledge that I think this is a very good bit of moderation.

And it indicates that you do think there is something of value to discuss going on in this thread.

Thank you.

It really doesn’t though. The topic can be completely without merit and still warrant moderation to keep discussion on topic. I’m not saying this thread is without merit, but illustrating how the inferences and suppositions you’ve drawn are erroneous.

Imagine my relief. Or don’t really. As Bone says - and I concur - your conclusions are wholly wrong.

#47

I declare that my question soliciting a characterization of a post example was not answered, therefore the OP was either deliberately or unwittingly ignored by the mods.

Draw your own conclusions on that one. :dubious:

I can’t tell what question you are referring to. Was it post #93? If that was it, then that wasn’t answered because it was a poorly executed question. If it was something else, then ask your question directly.

That’s cool. It’s worth about as much clarification as anyone got on the troll topic from this thread.
