Molasses on my Glasses

Yup, I somehow managed to drop my pair of Ray Bans into a pile of baked beans. Now there is a sort of crystally looking film on the lenses which I can’t seem to remove. I’ve tried glass cleaners and nothing seems to take it off. I think I’m safe to assume that the film on my glasses is molasses from the baked beans. Does anyone know how I can get this crap off?

Soak the glasses in warm water. Molasses is water soluble. If you have plastic lenses its just barely possible that the hot vinegar in the beans frosted the lenses. That’s not going to come off.
