For those of you driving and wondering about parking, there are a few parking garages very close to Cannery Row. Whenever I go there I park there (Hell no will I ever attempt parking on the street!).

Parking? Surely you jest dude. The parking garage on cannery row is huge. It’s a whole city block. Near everything…its on ummm, foam street behind Longs.

Yeah Melin and Shayna, come on up, the more the merrier (we might just take over the restaurant ). Monterey isn’t THAT far from the LA area. I have friends who routinely drive from here to LA every other week end.

Since my primary allegiance would be to attending the Southern California thread, let’s try to schedule them on separate weekends, pretty please?
I vote – if I may – for the weekend of the 19th, since my kids have both the 21st and 22nd off. Assuming we can get a motel room, or two, actually, hubby suggests we all drive up, and they can go off to the Aquarium or something while we do our thing.
Could be fun!

Naturally, cause I live here. 12th looks close to Valentines Day. AT&T Golf tournament, sure to be rained out, is:

Oh, PCW you flatter me way too much :). Well it’s kind of hard for me to pick restaurants i’ve never been to, but i’ll give it a shot. I think though the 19th seems best for everyone. Since I live here, it’s no problem for me (10 minute trip ).

Alright then, so far we have the 19th. That is for THIS meeting, there can be others in the future. Some fella wanted one in march around his birthday.
El Torritos? They have a bar, a couple of big rooms. Sits on the ocean. Pretty cheap for local food. Sly’s? Haven’t been there in some time, probably not as bright at Torritos.
What if Shayna’s period is on the

StoryTyler, not yet…I was gonna suggest the BeachComber motel, they change rates, right now they are $49 a night 1 or 2 people. That is cheap as they are.
I should probably get their number so people can make their own reservations. It should be alright. It’s a couple miles from the row, however. The Row has some hotels about $100 a night, so probably cheaper to fetch a cab to the BeachComber.
