Sources inside Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates are telling Yahoo Sports that McLaren Mercedes and CGRFS have come to an agreement for JPM’s unconditional release. This means Montoya can start testing, and will almost assuredly be entered in the ARCA race at Talladega in 2 weeks.
Homestead-Miami Speedway is going to be Colombia Norte in a couple of months, because there’s no doubt JPM will be entered in the event in his adopted hometown. The speedway has already started assembling travel packages for Colombian fans.
I am so excited right now. I’ve followed Montoya’s career because during his F1 stint, he was the closest thing to an American driver, and to see him run with the guys I’ve watched my entire life is fantastic.
