Moon in SE Australia tonight.

Hey, did any of you bozos living in SE Aus see the moon tonight with its amazing halo? Not just any old garden variety ring like if it’s about to rain or something…the halo extended about 10x the diameter of the moon itself, and it was just freakingly beautiful and wonderful.

The moon itself, even though full was particularly ordinary, but that halo man, wheeeeh, it was a whopper.

I bet the lunatics will be out in full force tonight…:smiley:

It looked full. I didn’t notice a halo.

That is usually caused by ice crystals in the clouds.

I was out walking last night at about 10.00pm. There was no halo visible then from Sydney.

Just a plain old full moon from Canberra at about 8 pm.
