I can see that third having lots of problems with people trying to pronounce it.
Abiageal is pronounced Abigail, such as Abigail Adams. Apparently it’s the Irish spelling of the name. They call her “Abi” most of the time.
The problem I see with Sofie is that anyone who hears her name will spell it “Sophie.” I have never heard of the spelling “Sofie,” but apparently the baby’s mom had a grandmother whose name was spelled this way.
Brogan… well I haven’t ever heard of this as a first name. I’ve seen it as a last name, and also a brogan is a type of shoe: “A heavy, ankle-high work shoe.”
Since Sofie is a common Swedish name I have trouble seeing it as creative, but in an English speaking country I guess it comes down to the usual spelling being Sophie.
Brogan is exactly the kind of name I’d want for one of my hypothetical kids. Unusual but not bizarre, and easy to spell.
Abiageal… I don’t even know how to pronounce it.
As for me, I’d like to name my two daughters Nike (after the goddess of victory, not the shoe - in Swedish the two are pronounced differently) and Nemesis, an incredibly beautiful name that unfortunately is also completely impossible. If I named my daughter Nemesis everyone would take me for a serial killing occultist or something. It’s still a gorgeous name, though.
When I used to wear my knockoff Doc Martens in high school my dad would always say, “Got your brogans on, Farmer Brown?” Just sayin’.
Sofie’s a cute name. Abiageal, I’m not so fond of. Reads more like Abya-Jeel than Abigail. Unless that’s what they were going for.
Is Brogan a boy or a girl?
I see no reason the OP wouldn’t (or won’t) have worked (or will work) as a post in the linked thread.
