More Help (Riddle/Math Question)

The pharaoh is trying to cut down on the amount of wine he drinks. He is allowed one glass of wine with his evening meal. He drinks one third of it with his starter course, then half of the remainder with his main course, then one quarter of what is left with his pudding. How much does he have left to savour with his prize goat’s cheese at the end of the meal?
As far as i can tell the answer is quite easy @ One Twelfth Right?

The website asks for the answer “IN WORDS” and I type exactly that, yet it says im wrong. Help please!

I’m getting 1/4.

He starts with 1 glass
He drinks 1/3, leaving 2/3.
He drinks half of what’s left (1/3), leaving 1/3.
He drinks a quarter of what’s left (1/12), leaving 3/12, or 1/4

Unless it’s a trick question and he doesn’t have a prize goat.

Hal

One quarter.

((1-1/3)/2)*(3/4)=1/4
