Here’s part of what it says in the More Info section:
In 1994 she was on a talent show and did “My Kind of People” which an audience member (and daughter of a fellow contestant) videotaped. Don’t watch it if you have high blood pressure though, because it’s rage-inspiring. You’ll get a taste of how Susan wasn’t taken seriously. The host, Michael Barrymore, decides that things are boring and makes it about him, even at one point laying down on the floor and trying to look up Susan’s skirt while she’s singing. Instead of kicking the MF in the balls, she just keeps singing. If there’s any justice, this will become viral and ruin this dickhead’s career.
It’s unreal how completely professional she was with Michael Barrymore. She never cracked or broke persona, and the way she actually addressed it to him (almost like she was playing Mary Magdalene) was adorable. (Looking it up on wiki to see just who that coked up turd was, it seems the latter day revelation he was so disrespectful of the world’s current sweetheart couldn’t have come at a much worse time for him since he’s had years of legal troubles [and probably a fortune of legal bills] over a coked up dead guy who died suspiciously in his pool following a gay orgie at his place; he must be something like England’s answer to Andy Dick.)
Her Killing Me Softly is a lullaby. Even better than Hugh Grant and Nicholas Hoult’s duet!
I just hope the uproar over her doesn’t evaporate before she makes some serious money. I’d love to see them release something for sale on ITunes tomorrow so she could go ahead and clean up while the iron is hot and not have to be like one of the American Idol finalists who go from red hot to hosting infomercials because of timing.
I was making a joke about all these recordings being found to myself a few days ago- who’s profited the most from Susan Boyle? ITV, Boyle herself, or the British tabloid industry, who is starting to make a cottage industry out of “finding” old Susan Boyle recordings?
