More trouble for Toyota: Prius brakes

I’ve just heard on the local news that on top of the accelerator problems Toyota had, there are now brake issues on the Prius.

Last year my brakes were acting funky and the service annunciator was lit. Braking was poor, and it ‘pulsed’. Turned out it was a sensor or something on the brake pedal, and only one brake was being applied. The system would choose a different brake each time the pedal was pushed. I was told the problem could have been a $200 sensor, or the $2,500 main computer module. They figured out it was the sensor. They didn’t say on the news, but I wonder if this is the current problem? I wonder if I can be reimbursed for the repair if there’s a recall?

Toyota is getting a beating only GM could relate to. Ever think that sentence would be typed and be legit?

And now the Transportation Secretary is telling owners of recalled Toyotas to stop driving them entirely until they can be repaired. Cripes.
