Honestly? Long, long ago when I first saw the previews for the first Matrix film… I thought they were doing a movie about the Invisibles. The premise is at least marginally the same, except supernatural sex-and-torture fiends instead of computers and robots. I came out of the preview screening assuming Morpheus was King Mob.

IIRC, Williams is supposed to be a big-time comics fan. I think if the rumor’s true, he’d do a better job of putting it together than one might expect.

All I know about Robbie Williams is that he sings really, really bad songs. So long as he isn’t doing the score, I remain cautiously neutral about the project.
