Moslem, Muslem, Islamic, Arab, She-ite? Explain!

There are lots of Arab-American Christians, affiliated with Orthodox, Catholic, and Anglican churches for the most part. My wife and I went to school with an Aboud whose father ran one of the nicest small groceries in town; his family were active members of the Episcopal church that we later joined. (They’d selected Episcopalianism when immigrating to America since they were Antiochan Orthodox in Lebanon, definitely not Catholic, and the only Orthodox church in town was Greek Orthodox with strong emphasis on the Greek ethnic flavor; to them, Anglicanism was the closest to what they had been.)

A former moderator and current member on the Pizza Parlor (he resigned as Mod. for time crunch reasons, not out of any hostility) is a loyal member of the Antiochan Exarchate of the Americas and one of the most decent Christians you’d ever hope to meet. He and his family are ethnic Arabs. Moslems constitute only a minority of the population of Lebanon and of pre-1948 Palestine.
