Most attended weddings in history, help?

Hi all,
I am at the end of my Googling tether and am turning to the brainiacs for a possible answer.
I am writing a best mans speech for a wedding and for part of it I wanted to quote some numbers for the most attended weddings in history.
Does anyone have any references for some of the largest weddings in history such as “in 200 AD 5,000 people attended the wedding of King x to Princess Y”
I need about two or three through time if at all possible.
Please help.
Many thanks
SS

If moonie weddings count, the sky’s the limit

3500 people attended the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, 600,000 lined the streets to cheer them on, and 750 million watched on TV.

From here.

Thanks for the reply, that was one of the only references I could find, was thinking more about wedding guests in attendance rather than number of couples married.
Thanks for the input.

Try the Guinness Book of World Records. They have stats on all kinds of bizarre shit.

I understand that at the wedding of Adam and Eve, the entire population of the world was present.
