Most comfortable tennis shoes(sneaker) for standing and teaching all day?

In March 2023, I bought a pair of Hoka One One Clifton 8 Wide Running Shoe (Men’s) online (not Amazon) for only $100. Now I find that that model is no longer available; the Clifton 9 is $145 and the Bondi 8 is $165. Both are available in wide.

Yeah, I wish they weren’t quite that expensive. Having said that, perhaps I just need to find sales.

I think they were on sale at $100, because I bought them from PeterGlenn.com, which I had never patronized before. Otherwise I probably would have bought them from Amazon or Hoka directly. But I didn’t see any discounts available now.

Just got an email from Zappos–if you are a new customer use 40FORYOU for $40 off. Picked up another pair of $160 Asics.

Try the Running Warehouse. Once a new model comes out, you can usually find the previous model for a discount, albeit in more limited sizes and colorways.

Update. They’ve been really good. I’m not sure how long they will last, but I am hoping for at least 6 months.

Zappos has shoes at reduced prices on line. I normally buy Keen or Kuru shoes, and I’ve found them priced lower than at Amazon or the company websites. I’m female, so I don’t know if those brands would work for you in men’s shoes, but they’re well-made, with good support, and very comfortable.

Lately I’ve tried Merrells, and that’s another good brand.

Haven’t read all the replies but I’ll strongly recommend Hoka. The different styles have different support systems so you have choose carefully.

I’m 73 with comically flat feet, and the most comfortable shoes I’ve EVER worn in my life are Hoka Gaviotas. They’re the model best suited to people who are on their feet all day, especially people with low arches. I’ve worn HG’s exclusively for four years now.

Their online catalogue simplifies the shopping and choosing, and their exchange policy is unbeatable.

I’ve always liked Skechers for that purpose. Have you tried this page: Men’s Casual Shoes | SKECHERS

I wore Asics gel shoes for years until my workplace banned them. I put a lot of miles on them and they held up well and so did my body.

Why did your workplace ban them?
