Most despicable television character in history, in your humble opinion

Who do you think is the most horrible character ever to grace a TV series? Sitcom…drama…hell, it could be a realty star. Which character do you just dislike with the passion of a billion burning plasma screens?

Me? I can’t stand Jimmy McNulty from ‘The Wire.’ The character sickens me. I know I’m probably in the minority on this.
My favorite season was 4, simply because he wasn’t around, and when he was, he was just…there.

Forget the street thugs and dealers on that show-- McNulty to me was pure vileness. Omar Little had more honor in his pinky than that dirtbag had in his whole worthless syphilitic body. IMHO, of course.

From the moment I saw him, while working undercover, finishing himself off with a couple whores while his fellow cops stood there in the hotel room, to the constant disrespect and disinterest he showed to his own kids…he’s just a rotten puke. Disgusting. Completely self-serving with no moral compass.
So who do you hate?

Hannibal Lecter?

Which TV show was he on?

The first one who comes to mind is Nellie Oleson from Little House on the Prairie.

King Joffrey: I was wanting him to die constantly, but realizing that he could only die once.

Then maybe even more repellent: That child of that woman in the castle up in the air, who suckled on the mothers teat and wanted to see people thrown into space.

Theodore “T-bag” Bagwell played by Robert Knepper in Prison Break.

He just oozed nastiness.

Endora on Bewitched. Holy spit, what a monster!

What about Ramsay Snow?

Seemed a decent sort, why do you ask?

Ben Linus on Lost I think ended up redeeming himself a bit at the end but for most of his run he was superfucking evil.

This one goes back a bit to the early days of Fox TV, I nominate Dabney Coleman from**Buffalo Bill **in which he played a loathsome TV talk show host.

Hannibal

I still have the hate for JR Ewing. Which is silly.

Shinji from Evangelion. Boy needed to be slapped more in that show. A lot more.

Roslin from NuBSG

“Sorry. We’re going to have to kill your unborn child…be…cause.”

“Oh wait…it ‘cured’ my cancer. Well, I guess I’ll let it live.”

I really don’t think this is maintainable on any rational level. Sure, McNulty was an asshole, but he wasn’t an asshole all the time, and at any number of points he tries to do the right thing. And given that there are undoubtedly television characters that are written as having no saving graces at all I can’t see how McNulty makes the grade.

Adolf.

From HeilHoney I’m Home..

Yes we can Godwinise this thread too.

That didn’t even make any sense, if anything you’d think the kid would be an amazing intelligence asset.

No, Endora’s behavior was perfectly justified. Durwood’s attitude toward his wife and her talents was despicable.

Mr Morden.

What do you want?

“That’s like this one time, when I didn’t like a kid…”
