I’ve set up a bunch of filters for the ungodly amount of SPAM I receive (appx 200 per day) but it’s only catching a tiny amount.
Does anyone know of any lists of really good SPAM filters…?
Well, unless you know anyone in those countries you might want to filter ANYTHING coming from
.mx
.cn
.kr
.br
.ru
.ro
I find a lot of spam comes from those national domains.
I believe SPEWS also has a real-time updated list you can use.
Filtering out the word “free” in the subject line has killed off many a spam sent to me. A dollar-sign subject line filter also screens out a lot of junk.
I’m getting craploads of spam from China, Japan, Korea, Viet Nam and the like, none of which is in Engilsh. It seems that every damn one of them have a different e-mail addess, so blocking them is a waste of time.
