Most evil female characters in film history

See, if I saw Samara’s tape, I’d copy it…and pass it along to really vile serial killers on Death Row! See, problem solved. Saddam Husein, Charles Manson, all of them would view the tape, die, and I’d still be alive, without having harmed any innocents.

TV characters are okay? Then I nominated Pearl Forrestor, of MST3K: “an evil gal who wants to rule the world.”

[nitpick]It’s “He’d kill us if he had the chance.”[/nitpick]

I just watched Mildred Pierce for the first time (I always thought it was a period drama for some reason) and have a new entry for this thread: Veda Pierce, Mildred’s utterly unredeemable, manipulative, money-grubbing daughter. Wow! What a bitch!

Yeah, but you only have a week! Can you show the tape to a newborn?

It hasn’t been three months yet…

I saw a movie today that made me think of this thread.

Evelyn in The Shape of Things was wonderfully evil. I saw the ending coming, but I still couldn’t believe that she went through with it.

The Faye Dunaway character was the one I immediately thought of when I saw this thread. Nurse Ratched too.

For the heck of it, I’ll also nominate…
Endora (Samantha’s mother) in Bewitched*

Debra Winger
Not in any particular role, I just think she is evil.
It’s actually her grandmother, not her mother.

And there are hints, fairly early on, that Ghost ain’t quite as sweet as everyone in the movie - other than her gramma - thinks she is - like the terrified look on granny’s face when she comes in at one point. And she’s obviously rebellious, and not-quite right, right from the start. All that said, she’s still fucking creepy. I loved the faked rape bit…was so…evil and calculating. I was waiting for the werewolf to eat him, but I was shocked - in that unpleasant way that’s so pleasant in a horror movie - at HOW it got him.
Jodie Foster’s character in “Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane” is female child evil personified. And a damn good performance.
