This was not as easy to find as it might have been once. A search for “Midnight Oil Bushfire” now gives you a lot of links to a benefit concert where they apparently did not play this song.

Quite a few of these songs are songs I have never heard of.
Hopefully over the weekend I won’t be so tired and busy and will have some time to listen to them and respond in kind.
I really do like knowing how people think and what evokes emotion, longing, courage, etc. in them.
And who knows, I might acquire a few new favorite songs! 
Another one occurred to me.
If this song appeals to you, you may want to seek out Dana Cooper’s “Standing in My Own Way”. A very similar feeling. Cooper has his own recording which is great, and it has been covered by a number of people. Susan Werner most notably, but her version is just a little too “perfect”, and this is really a song about imperfection. I like Jen Cohen’s interpretation, but it may be a bit hard to find.
Hallelujah was my choice as well but my favorite is the version being recorded for Shrek of all things.
