Most instructive board in SDMB

I have my own opinion, but I would like to hear from others here.

Which do you think is the most instructive board in SDMB?

Instructive in the sense of providing facts and insights and opinions, founded upon intelligence, reason, logic, and noble sentiments.

Facts, we all understand facts. An apple is a fact, war of Bush and company against Iraq is a fact. Non-facts, some of the justifications for that war; other examples: heaven, hell, soul, God, Satan, Santa Claus. What about quantum physics and black holes? They are facts.

Insights? Like the insight of Susma: “Man is aggressive, woman is subversive – in sex”.

Opinions, like this opinion of Susma: “War is stupid and crazy; because there are countless other ways to solve conflicts intelligently without death and destruction than by wars”.

Intelligence, reason, logic, and noble sentiments? The first three should be intelligible to people who know the word ‘intelligible’; the last one, noble sentiments, ask your mother who brought you up to be able to join SDMB.

I am really interested in knowing which board here is the most instructive, for my personal profit.

Please accept my apologies for giving self-serving examples. Give me also examples if you prefer however self-serving.

IMHO there are quite a few people who do not understand the differences between fact, opinion, and consensus.

I’ll pick that forum listing page, where it tells you what the purpose of each forum is and what should be posted there. You should check it out sometime.

How is this a factual question, to repeat the bolding from the forum listing page?

See? People seem no longer able to give their honest preferences without arguing or qualifying or whatever, and miss totally the question or the simple request for a preference, an honest baring of your mind and heart.

So far, three replies; and not one will give me his preference, an honest expression of his mind and heart. No, I am not asking you to defend or to explain or to justify your preference – just your preference.

It’s a fact that I think this is most informative board.

The General Questions forum is for facts. The IMHO forum is for opinions. I just moved another one of your non-factual threads, so I’m not disposed to moving this one. Please try to pay more attention to the forum descriptions in the future.
