What was the most popular leisure-time activity in Switzerland in 1920?
I think we can eliminate surfing right off the bat.
Probably not, given that Switzerland had a *navy *at the time. ![]()
But that does raise a serious problem: do we mean “most popular leisure-time activity undertaken in Switzerland” or "“most popular leisure-time activity undertaken by Swiss” they probably are not the same thing in a country with a small area.
But this is one of those questions that it will be impossible to answer because it’s so ill-defined.
What is a leisure activity? Reading? Masturbation? Eating? I’m guessing that the vast
majority of Swiss did all of those things in 1920. So how do we judge which is more poplar? Is it eating because it occurred multiple times every day?
Strangling animals, golf, and masturbating.
In that order?
Simultaneously.

I don’t think the Swiss play golf.
Most likely baseball, they are near to Russia where it was invented.
