I got into the stock market about 8 months ago. I did pretty well with some of the bigger names so i sold a few shares and invested in penny OTC stocks.

One company i invested in was a development stage company and i bought 5000 shares for $3. So im not very worried if i lose my entire investment.

BUt my question is, has a company ever went from $0.0005 a share to $70+?

Whats the most extreme stock growth ever?

I really think if you’re holding any particular security for less than a year you’re Doing It Wrong, but to each his own.

If you adjust for splits, Wal-Mart was trading at less than a penny a share at IPO. (It was not ever a true penny stock, though, because of all the splits.) It’s now around $54, but was trading in the $70’s in the late 1990s.
