Muppet Show ToniIIIIIIIIght!

Belated Birthday present from my father.

Muppet Show released on video. We couldn’t pick just one, or three, so we bought the whole set.

I love this show. My parents would let me watch it when I was little. (I ate dinner in front of it in my high chair.) it was a weekly family event.

And Now I have it. I have it all.

I have laughed myself sick. Julie Andrews and Elton John tonight. with a cow.

Julie sang a tadpole song. I’m dying here. Though I’d share.

Have a video of a Sesame Street Sing along something or other here. Annoying as all get out, but it’s fun to watch a really young Jane Curtin, Jeremy Irons, and Danny Devito dancing and singing to “Let Go The Ducky”…

Not to mention the young James Taylor’s spellbinding rendition of “Jelly Man”.

I desperately want that set, but someone told me it’s coming out on DVD, so I’m holding out…

Hmmmm…Medea & I live in the same city, and she doesn’t live too far from fellow Doper Xploder…hmmmmm…I think it’s time for me to start casing some joints…hehehehehe…

I saw the episode with John Cleese a while ago. In “Pigs In Space” he plays a pirate, complete with eyepatch and a muppet parrot on his shoulder, who tries to take over the Swinetrek. After the bird starts talking back to him, he threatens to make it an ex-parrot. I didn’t remember that line.

Our personal favorite (that is, my brother and I) as kids was “The Cat Came Back”. I forget who the guest was, but I remember they finally blew up the house trying to get rid of the cat and… yea, you know.
