Most Successful Star Trek Alumnus/ae?

Are you trying to imply that I watched Sister Act 2? :dubious:

(Not that it makse me much better if I even watched the first one. But, to be fair, I was 13 and you had fewer options on TV back in the day.)

Whoopi was also in:

How Stella Got her Groove Back
Rat Race
Toy Story 3
The new TMNT. I haven’t seen TMNT yet so I don’t know how big her part is but it’s not a cameo.

Also according to IMDB she done a lot of TV work.

Wil Wheaton has narrated a number of audiobooks, mostly SF and notably Scalzi’s.

He was in an arc on *Warehouse 13.

Jill Ireland had an appearance on a TOS episode “This Side of Paradise” and a successful film career with her husband Charles Bronson.

Kirsten Dunst was 11 when she appeared in a STNG episode. Since then, a Golden Globe nod, a Best Actress prize at Cannes, and 3 blockbusters films as Mary Jane Watson, among other projects.

She wasmarried to Iilya!

Post-Sister Act, she was top-billed over old Ted Danson and young Will Smith in Made In America, which grossed well over $100 million on a $22 million budget.

Leonard Nimoy directed ST3:the search for Spock, ST4: the voyage Home, and Three Men and a Baby

Jonathan Frakes has a healthy number of big-screen directing credits to go with his long list of small-screen ones.

The Good Mother.

She’s also been a regular on the View.

Leonard Nimoy did several Broadway & off-Broadway one man shows, that did well financially & critically very well.

We’re watching Deep Space Nine on Netflix and Frank Langella appeared on our screen last night.

He’s Oscar Nominated (Best Actor for Frost/Nixon). That’s not too shabby.

Jeffrey from Jeffrey (better known as the guy from Wings) was there too.

By that logic, I’ll add that Abdullah bin Hussein bin Talal bin Abdullah bin Hussein bin Ali played a Science Division officer on STAR TREK: VOYAGER before going on to become the King of Jordan, but I don’t think His Majesty counts for purposes of this thread.

I’ll just come in and speak to the quality of Colm Meaney’s work. He’s had an outstanding track record for doing large roles in great little movies such as ‘The Snapper’ and ‘Damned United’.

I love his work. I’d put him in the top five.

Stephen Hawking.
