If you don’t like dealing with people, shoot for neonatal nursing. The babies don’t talk back, and the parents are just grateful for what you do for their child. (There are, of course, occasional exceptions)
I once had a head nurse in a neonatal unit try to recruit me by saying it was just like taking care of kittens and puppies. :rolleyes: She’d been there too long, I think.
Maybe I’m missing something, but…what about a veterinary technologist? It’s a four-year degree, one step up from the two-year-degree veterinary technician.

Singing is one of the unexpected benefits of parenting. I can’t carry a tune in a bucket, but when my kids were infants they actually enjoyed my singing. Then they grew up and developed better judgment. But now they tell better jokes, so there are compensations.
