Plenty. In addition to Birdman and Spotlight, he was just in Dumbo, and Spider-Man Homecoming.

The Other Guys was a good flick.
Hayden Christiansen comes to mind. He played Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels and made two or three films afterward. Then he kind of disappeared.
If you suddenly quit at the height of your career, does it really count as “petering out”?
