Had Date Night with the wife last night and we saw this. Have you seen it? What did you think?
There is a lot of crime and violence but it’s not gratuitously so (but if violence bothers you then this movie might not be for you). The plot follows a baseball fan and former player, and the movie title is a play on the baseball term.
I found the movie to be badass, entertaining in a criminal and violent way, and sorry but Austin Butler who’s supposed to be a former baseball star who nearly made it to the Major Leagues, he has a terrible baseball swing. But I’m nit picking with that. I found the movie to be thoroughly enjoyable and fun.
Be ready for significant subtitles for interpreting some foreign language conversations, and also for some Yiddish and Hebrew conversions. Sometimes the dialogue moves quickly and you have to read quickly to keep up with the fast pace.
It’s a fun movie!
