Movie ID - courtroom drama; photo blowup

I’m thinking of a movie I saw on TV in the 1970s - though I’m guessing it’s from the 1950s or so. It’s a courtroom drama at least in part, and at the climax, the heroes blow up a photo of a key witness - in the background of the picture there’s a newsboy (I told you it was the 1950s!) holding up a newspaper, and the date on the paper disproves the witness’ testimony (I think the testimony was that she had never seen someone before a particular date). What movie am I thinking of? (I was reminded of this movie by a mention of “The Verdict” in a current thread).

I remember they blew up a photo of Mel Brooks in ‘High Anxiety’ to show he couldn’t be a murderer because he was in an elevator - way in the background - at the time.

But I’m guessing that’s not what you’re thinking of.

Call Northside 777 - (1948)

From Wikipedia - Call Northside 777

Call Northside 777 is a 1948 reality-based film noir directed by Henry Hathaway and starring James Stewart. The picture parallels a true story of a Chicago reporter who proved that a man in prison for murder was wrongly convicted 11 years before. The names of the real wrongly convicted men were Majczek and Marcinkiewicz for the murder of Chicago Traffic Police Officer William D. Lundy.

Eventually, Wiecek is proved innocent by, among other things, the enlarging of a photograph showing the date on a newspaper that proves that a key witness statement was false.

Is it appropriately enough, Blow-Up?

I remember that scene - it could be that High Anxiety is parodying the movie I’m thinking of, but it’s not the one I’m looking for (googling suggestions that High Anxiety is parodying a movie called “Blowup” (which is not the one I’m looking for).

That’s it. Thanks.
