I’m the OP, and I don’t care if there’s an R-release available, as long as it got an X at some point, and that version is available, even if it’s only on video, or the country of origin. And yes, I know that you can get copies of the X version of Frankenstein. Not sure whether they are all bootlegs from Warhol’s personal collection, but it’s out there.

Although you quoted Pepperwinkle, that was my entry and I included that note to pre-empt anyone who challenged it by saying it was not X-rated. I saw the X-rated version in the original theatrical release, and the now-available R-rated version is an edit.
