Luke finds out Leia is his sister – which shoots that prospective romance clear to hell and back (or turns the squick factor up to around fourteen on a scale of one to ten). Although in finding out about the sister he didn’t know he had, maybe in a way he DID get the girl.

Sort of a spoiler right there in the title, I guess. But in true rom-com fashion, you watch it expecting that they’ll get back together in the end. Real spoiler: They don’t.

Much of his dialogue – “This guy even threw at his own son in a father-son game”, “Heywood leads the league in most offensive categories, including nose hair … when this guy sneezes, he looks like a party favor”, “The post-game show is brought to you by… (searches through his papers) … I can’t find it. To hell with it” – was ad-libbed at the director’s request. According to legend, he’s said that he enjoyed himself so much he would have done the movie for free. Whatever they DID pay him for that role, he was worth every red cent of it.
