I didn’t see the first movie until I was at a friend’s house and they had a bootleg copy of The Empire Strikes Back , in 1980, while it was still in theaters. Star Wars was also on that tape.

I didn’t see it in its entirety until a few years ago. It has not held up well IMHO.

Saw this when it first came out and was disappointed that it wasn’t quite the screwball comedy it had been hyped as. I should re-visit and see what I think of it now.
The best part IMO is the medieval banquet scene: the chicken skin, the duel. The rest of the movie, not so much.
