Why is it O.K. to show someone getting thier heads bashed in with a hammer in a PG13 movie, but full frontal nudity (especially male) in prohibited? I’d much rather have my 13 year old see naked people than naked brains. Especially brains exposed violently. Am I the only one who feels this way?

No. George Carlin has a comedy routine that shows he feels exactly the same way. Apparently there are exactly two people that feel that way. The rest of us all think that it’s healthier for a child to see brutal violence than a boobie or two people expressing love.

Alright sheriff, we’re gonna f*** you now.

Nope, you’re not the only one. Excessive and pointless nudity in a film may make me roll my eyes because of its low-rent manipulativeness, but it never offends me. Excessive and pointless violence, on the other hand, offends me very much, and I’ve never hesitated to walk out of a movie or pop the tape out of the VCR becaue of it.

Can anyone possibly believe that the constant barrage of graphic violence being fed to kids is not damaging to them, but that seeing naked people will warp their minds?

The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare let go.

One thing that mystified me: Planet of the Apes was rated “G”. “Damned dirty ape!” and “Damn you all to Hell!” is OK for little kids to hear?

What would Brian Boitano do / If he was here right now /
He’d make a plan and he’d follow through / That’s what Brian Boitano would do.

I didn’t realize I was doing a George Carlin routine, I was just upset that the video store gave my son Scream but not Officer and a Gentleman. Huh?
