Movie scenes that scared the shite out of you (Spoilers)

If that’s your thing, try the German film Funny Games. My nerves were a wreck after seeing this one. There’s not much in the way of people leaping out at you, but the whole thing stretches out the tension until you just can’t stand it anymore. I’m not sure I could watch it again.

pugluvr, Silence of the Lambs is indeed a freaky film. I own it and watch it when I want to be scared, even when I know what’s coming!

If you watch it and decide you like the character of Lecter, please go rent Manhunter with William Peterson and the brilliant Tony Cox as Lecter.

When I saw Seven (I refuse to ever write that movie’s name as Se7en ) in a movie theater, I had absolutely no idea what it was about, other than it was a serial-killer mystery with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Good God, that movie messed with my head.

The scene that begins with the police finding the Sloth victim (the drug dealer strapped into his bed for a full year) almost made me wet myself. And the scene where the police were interviewing the guy forced to commit the Lust murder – with the brief glimpses of the…umm…apparatus that he used – creeped me out to no end. To top it all off, I totally didn’t figure out what was in the box at the end until John Doe himself said it.

That was probably the last movie I saw that had me feeling a bit shaken as I left the theater.
